Genesis is the first and longest book in the Pentateuch. This word means “five books” and it refers to the first five books of the Old Testament, which contain the history of God’s covenant from the creation of the universe to the death of Moses. The other four books are Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
